I believe what the speaker Les Brown says to be true because basically what he is saying is that you have the conscious decision to your our destiny. Stop blaming other people and begin to take action and start seeing what you are doing wrong and correct it. He also talks about aligning yourself with positive people and getting rid of the negative toxic people in your life, like they say "Birds of a feather flock together" Always strive to be your best and do you best in everything that you do! The dreams and aspirations that you have are reachable, but the only person in the way of your dreams is you!
I agree with everything that Mr.Les Brown is saying. I believe that we shouldnt bame other people for the things that happned if our life, even if they play apart in it. Ifyou dont forgive or forget you will never succed in life. You will never prosper in life if you let other peoples mistakes keep you down. He also talks surrounding yourself with postive people this is true because all a negative person will do is help you fail. you will leran through your life time that you postive people who will lift you up when your failing and give you encouraging works to help you make it through your struggles. They will never leave your side if anyhing they willl be there through thick and thin and will tell you as a good friend how much you have grown from your struggle. I believe you should always strib to be the best you can be. Also give your best in any and everything that you do. We have the power to cahnge our personal history and i believe it is determind through forgiveness.
I agree with everything that the speaker Mr. Les Brown is saying. I believe that we take full responsibility of our actions. Whatever mistakes and choices that we make in life are caused by ourselves. If we choose to get up and make our lives something to live for, we absoloutely can. On the other hand if we choose to be a loser and do nothing with our lives, that can happen also. Some people blame life circumstances and the past events that happen for the reason of their unsuccess, but none of that should matter. Life is always going to knock you down and it is up to you to make the decision and stand strong and move on. We have the power to change our own lives and should take action sooner than later.
Emotional intelligence is very important because it can be apart of controlling your life. It can take a part of how we talk to people, do our work, or even work with things an people. If you lack emotional intelligence it can be dangerous because it can change opinions on a lot of things. Social intelligence can take a high responsibility in things too because it can change the personal impression of you to others. One intends to speak before they listen and that can change the opinion about a situation. I thought I had more emotional intelligence but after listening to this video, I found new ways that i can improve it .
When having a mentor i think it is very important. It is very important because you have a positive person giving you good and bad feedback on your life regarding your actions. The mentor will get you from a to z. If you are lazy an unhappy it is because the results of your actions in life. One needs to always hear the negative to make an adjustment to their lives. You are responsible of making your life better. If you want positive feedback and results in your life just listen to your problems and make them better. When the mentor is telling you something you should be thankful because a positive person is letting you know what you should fix. Once in the while you can bite your tongue and listen to other people because you may really need it. Keep God first and work on yourself to stop procrastinating and make your own life better
Les Brown really helped me out a lot. I honestly felt that he was describing my past experience with my old friends. They were no good. They all were very negative and I felt that their negativity was rubbing off on me. For instance, I never was a fighter I was a peace maker. I never really got into any type of altercations or anything but it just seemed like I would take in what they were saying and applied it. But I have currently opened my eyes and realized that they bring myself no good. So going back to what Les Brown said I really agree with him completely because I already got rid of the negativity in my life. Now I'm currently facings myself because I know I'm my biggest enemy. So I'm trying to get over my own enemy.
I absolutely love this poem by William Ernest Henley basically what he is saying is that no matter the challenges and obstacles Henley faced in his life (some of which were truly awful) he overcame them and was the master of his fate.
On the video for "Writing a person mission statement." It kind of makes sense to do this to just be able to see it on paper. In the video it explains how companies do this. Personally, as it may pertain to my life. I think it is important to know what one's mission is in life. My mission in general is to be happy. I never really knew what that meant to me, or how to go about it. As each day goes by, and with each experience. I am getting to know myself and what makes me happy. What would make me happy as my personal mission statement. Is to enrich the quality of my life and others as a role model, by displaying true happiness as it may present itself.
The motivational speech that Les Brown, delivered was very powerful. Growing up, I heard all the cliches that he used. Like birds of a feather flock together, and that is so true. When I was out there in the streets just existing, the crowd that I was hanging out with were all doing the same thing. We were all going no where it seemed. Then some of then woke up. What I did was continue to seek out people to replace the ones that had grown up, with those who were doing negative things like I was doing. Now I believe that there is a winner inside. I have started to surround myself with winners. This is achieves every time I come to college to pursue my AA in Psychology.
Creating a personal vision statement, in the video tells the viewer to think big. Which I think is a key element. In creating this statement before I say the video, I might have limited this statement. In this world big money minus fear is a big deal. If I had all the money in the world and no fear to go along with it. I'd be the biggest entertainer in the business. I love music and the adult entertainment business. Not because you can make a lot of money doing this things, but because you can express yourself with words through music with no boundaries, and with adult entertainment, you can express the joys and pleasures of physical pleasure without being bound by the traditional ways of society norms. In the foregoing areas I feel like I can be my true self. Also the vision statement can create balance through the 8 areas she mention when you are doing a vision statement.
Shirley, Aujaina English 21 Sec. 0922 This reflects my life a lot, because I have a hard time trying to budget my money. When they talked about needs before wants I weren’t so surprise because I handle my needs, but do not manage my wants. I make sur bills, and everything is paid for so that way I would not have to worry if something goes off in the house. Although I am good at making sure my needs are met having to do what I want becomes an issue. Due to me wanting to do so much I tend to overspend and it leads me to become broke. I understand the information fye has given to spend time on lowering what things I want to do so it would be less expensive, and that way can save money for necessary things.
Shirley Aujaina English 21 Sec. 0922 The video with time management made me realize that I have time-wasters. As to me waking up checking Instagram, because I spend time on that then just getting up and starting my day. The tips are so important, and the video does motivates me to work on my time management. I do put my priorities first with school, and studying, but work sometimes get in the way for me because I would not get so much which made me fall off on school. Information that was given was good tips , because it is all true to prioritize the day , and the month with school.
Galarza, Diana English 21 Section 0922 I personally enjoyed watching the motivational video by Les Brown. I can definitely relate to this video because for so long I surrounded myself with negative people, people who did not motivate me to further my education or be positive. It wasn't until I decided to surround myself with people who encouraged me to do better with my life, to think big, I then decided to pick up their positive attitudes ! I now feel even more motivated to accomplish every goal I set. I do agree that in order for us to have a positive life we must think positive, even when we fall have we must pick ourselves back up. Les Brown said, "the biggest enemy you have to deal with is yourself," I could not agree more, the moment we want to change our lives to better, thats when great changes will happen, this video has a really powerful message
Galarza, Diana English 21 Section 0922 The most important thing we should carry with us is self-confidence. Dr. Ivan Joseph's speech was very motivational. We should believe that we are able to accomplish any task that is put in our way. I think we all get to a point in our lives were we feel our confidence being at its lowest, but we have to remind ourselves that we are the best. It is great to listen to these motivational videos because it reminds us of how far we are capable of getting. I can relate because sometimes after hearing so many "no's", I tend to give up, and that should only encourage me to try harder. "Repeating", like the speaker said, is the best way to build self-confidence because the situations are not new to us anymore, and the more we are repetitive, the more confidence we gain.
Galarza, Diana English 21 Section 0922 Creating a vision statement is very important because in order to set goals we must envision what we want our lives to be like in the future. It is important to always remind ourselves where we want to be when we are older and all the things we want to accomplish, so creating a vision statement is important. My vision is to develop skills, and to be successful on my own terms, so I constantly have to read my vision statement in order to set new goals. I love how Sarah Johnson said, "knowledge is about sharing," because sharing can inspire others to set goals. I think that reminding ourselves everyday what we want to succeed in can definitely help us get there.

After watching the video of Les Brown, he really had an impact on my life. He made me think of all the things that use to matter to me that kept me from achieving my goals in school. Before I started attending school I use to hang around people that did not want me to achieve. When I would tell them that I wanted to go back to school, some of them asked why? and why did I wait until I was over forty to want to go back to school? they also said things like, you are not going to finish. You are going to go for a while and then give up. Because that's what I did in the past. I told myself that I have to prove them wrong but in reality I had to do it for myself. I had to make a difference in my life, because I was tired of repeating the same thing in life. People would say oh so you are going to school with your daughter, to make me feel bad. But I was determinant to make a change in my life. I will continual to do so. Now I hang around people from school like Valerie Wade from my English class, who want the same thing that I want in life. I know that she knows the struggle that I am going through to make it in college. She understands the way that I feel because she too is returning back to school after 20 something years. We both realize that things are a lot different for us because of the new technology and things like that. But yet we keep encouraging one another to stay in the race until the end, and not to give up on school nor our dreams. Dr. Brown please keep encouraging people to never give up on their dreams, and letting them know that it is not to late to do anything. I must say by looking at your video has made me have a lot more faith in being able to make a change in my life. You have motivated me even more now then I have ever been in life. Thank you for giving me a new frame of thought.

After watching this video, one part of this video that Les Brown mentions has made me reflect more on myself. I liked how Les Brown mentions reality of how people behave in life. For example, he talks about how a good person can turn bad if they mess with the wrong type of crowd, meaning that if a good person is being around people who often do negative things, that good person is more likely to become a bad person as well. This explains about my life in elementary school when I would use to be around immature and disrespectful people and eventually it had caught on to me in middle school. This video has helped me learn more about being around the wrong and right type of crowd. This also relate to me now because I am always around nice, sweet intelligent people in college, which helps me move forward with life in good note.
Flagg, Shekethria Englsh 21 Section 0908 Dec. 2, 2015 Les Brown: It's Possible
In this video, Les Brown mentions how things that people want something never really gain the ability to go for what they want. For example, someone wants to go to school but another person stays in the way of them going to school, so instead of going for what they think is right for them, they go for the opposite because they are afraid of the other person. I agree to what Les Brown was saying because life is short and you only live once so we have to do things that will make us happy. We have to take action into our own hands of what we want to do. If people go with decisions based on others, then it would not feel right and people will never be happy. Anything and everything is possible if you put your mind into it. This video relates to me because this is a strategy that I use all the time when I feel I want to do something. I also would advise others to try this strategy as well. Life is all about being happy and doing what you love. The key message I take out of this video is to never give up on anything that feels right for you.
Pritchett, Emerald English 21 S0908 Growing up I constantly heard what Les Brown mentioned in his video as in "Birds of a feather flock together". I can relate to that saying because during highschool I would hang around people who didnt want nothing more powerful than an education. I was a honor roll student until I got into highschool. It was a different world for me and not being EDUCATED as I am now, i was easily influenced. I started hanging around girls and guys who was losers. I picked up their bad habits and they encouraged me to do bad and not go to class. I started failing in school and that later landed me into not graduating. I see what Les Brown means when he said it doesnt takes much to be a loser...I quickly failed by doing nothing and being a "bird" following other "birds" who was setting a bad example I failed. Once I got into another school and exited those bad people out of my life, I surrounded myself around people who wanted to succeed and encouraged me to finish school. I started looking at my old habits and got new ones. Les Brown talks about hopes and dreams in his video, and changing where we want to go and what we want to do. It took me a while to understand how important that was until I started to fall behind. Everyone was graduating and I was still in school trying to finish. It took me at least two years to finish. I followed my hopes and dreams and got the motivation I needed to succeed. Les talks about people and how we dont know where we would land, but to me I feel he says that if we follow our hopes and dreams we will go far than we expect. Les mentions how important it is not to feed into negative energy and that negative energy and people can turn you into a negative person and makes you live a negative life. Im still learning not to feed into negativity and this video speaks volumes about me struggling to getting an education because I was surrounded by the wrong people. This video also gives me even more motivation to not to never give up and never stop chasing my dreams even if it takes times and not let birds get to me.

Mr les brown´s words are moltivating. Every action we take comes back to us, and we should not blame anybody for the results of our actions. Also, we should always take charge of our lives so that we can know if we are living lives that will produce a good fruits or lives that will produce bad fruits. so many times, people we complain our pains and sorrows to don't care, the best decision is to utilize our energy to think of positive solutions because we have the power to change any situation in our lives. like shake speer said, "so every bondman in his own hand bears the power to cancel his captivity".
Erwin Marroquin English 21 Section 0908 December 7, 2015
People define who they are by their actions. Mr. Brown is right. When someone one wants something, they do it. The road towards "Your dreams" is not an easy one. Many things, people will try to sway that ambition. People need to be careful on who they associate with. Being with the right people will help you directly and indirectly; and vice versa. One example is if someone wants to go to college, their influence can greatly impact them. Associating your self with the right people will motivate you. If you are with the "bad" people, you might not go. I was with the "good" people. I am happy with my decision and I couldn't be any happier.
Mendoza, Sandra English 21 Section 0908 December 9, 2015
Everything Mr. Brown mentioned is right. One of the points he mentions was the two types of people you can choose to surround yourself. The first one is the negative people you waste time with. The second type is the positive people who want you to succeed .This relates to me completely. In high school all my friends had big goals and were intelligent. They were focused on getting into their dream college. They motivated me do good as well. Sadly my senior year which was the most important one, I made the biggest mistake. I started to hang out with a new group of friends. Since they were mainly freshman they could not careless about school. Slowly throughout the year I started to pick up the bad habits like them. Towards the end of my senior year I realized that I had not prepared for college. The only reason was, because I surrounded myself with people who did not care. It was all my fault that I choose to do wrong. I did not make any excuses and determined to work hard to get my grades up again. People underestimated me but I had willingness to succeed. I did not care about their comments, because they did not know of what I was capable of. I was the only one who had the choice to change, my bad ways and I did.
Course Demeisha English 21 0908 December 14,2015 Les Brown Negative People
I Agree with Les Brown when he spoke on negative people. On How you should not waste time on toxic, negative , energy draining people. He says that they can steal your dreams. I say they can steal your joy. From my own life experience. When it comes to a negative person , who's always complaining about everything . It does become draining.Every time you have something positive to say they have something negative to say .I call those people Out . Since i have been back in school, there are a few people i let go out of my life.when i first came back to school there were certain friends, and family members who were happy , and some not. But i did not let that get me down , or discourage me . when i have good news there are a few i can tell, without them trying to tear down my joy. But i am not letting no one stop me from getting what i want out of life.i am going to continue to strive for better and do better.KEEP reflecting on myself. Stand up for myself . Because as Les Brown say i have goodness , i have greatness. I am hungry for sucess and a better future.

I understand exactly what was been said in this video. It also has truth to it. I strongly agree. We have the ability to identify, understand, and manage are emotions. Are emotions are strongly tied to are well being. Are emotions help us make decisions. when i am happy i seem to make better decisions, much easier to get along with. Then when i am sad are angry i seem to have a bad day everything goes wrong to me i am trying to change that space so i can grow when i have a bad situation make light of the problem.Emotional intelligence is important in are everyday life as a way to cope with things better.it also helps you reach your your full potential. Iam working on myself so i am trying to stay away from a negative mind frame and have a positive emotional intelligence mind.
Honvo, Stella Eng 145(4006) I watched the video titled, ‘mindset wisdom ‘ by Will Smith. He talked about loving yourself, which is something you cannot fake. Believing in yourself and knowing who you are, will take you to where you want to be in life. He further said there is no shortcut to success. You could be talented, either through natural or skill which can only be developed by putting hours of practice to perfect your craft for success. He also said that doing the same thing every single day until you get better at it and believing in yourself will help you to succeed. The only way to success is to be focus and eliminate every unrealistic fear, with the believe that you can do it.
The motivation video titled, “Dream’’ is an uplifting message that gets you going every day. It emphasized on the fact that knowing that the dream you aspire in your mind is possible, if you are determined and hard working. He made mention that as we work toward our goals and dreams; we will encounter some obstacle, disappointment, pain and even hardship just to make it to where we want to be in life. One thing I definitely learned for the video is that we need to stop complaining about our situation, but do something to make it better. Pain problem and hardship will come but it will definitely pass away and not giving up on the big dream is the only thing that can keep you going in life

The 100,000 hours rule by Malcolm Gladwell is an important fact that we all have to have to follow and pay attention to before trying to make an instant success. He stated that it takes 100,000 hours or at least 10 years to make it life to where you want to make it in life. Some people are expected to perform at work and in their personal life, in a very short drop of time before reaching this hours or years. This he said was achievable through consistence practice and hard work and it does not take people to be a genius to be successful.
Some see it as Religious and others just intellectual awareness. Depending on your faith or non faith it can have different meanings to each individual. So my view of it may not be the same as another’s. All we can do is give our opinions but you will have to form your own in the end. To me it is like an awakening of my inner self. Knowing myself inside and out better than ever before and passing that on to others to help make them find that same awakening I felt and hopefully make them better people in the end. Enlightenment to me is a spiritual and practical effort that requires understanding, information, learning, education teaching, knowledge, instruction awareness, wisdom, insight, cultivation, comprehension refinement and edification leading to capacity building of an individual for productivity.
In short this video was based on scientific studies that show how your mindset will control situations including chemistry within your body to help succeed.Psychological and physiological is infused by the mindset and has a lot to do with success of failure in that aspect.
Video #3: College on a budget Visit slugs website to save money on books instead of dropping so much money books.
Video #2:Time Management Write down everything! Leaves your mind free of forgetting. Have a to do list. Use Checklist De-clutter!!!!! Focus on one task at a time. Plan for tomorrow, today! Gather and prepare Limit social media.
All videos I watched were all talking about different things, however they all had the same goal ; to be effective and successful. Just by changing your mindset you can save time, money, and stress. It really motivates to get to know yourself and empower yourself. The mind is capable of so much but sometimes we don't pay attention to it and fail at the task we were set to do. If you think more positively , plan your time out and focus on solutions you can accomplish more in less time and effort.
The motivational video I watched is called, "How to not take things personally." My opinion on this video is despite everything not to take things personally. I am going to go out and buy Don Miguel Ruiz book because I want to learn how to not take things personally. I want to read this book because in the video Jillien Cruise the director stated a quote from his book saying, " You are only responsible for you." Jillien felt that the words meant, "When people come to you whether it's in anger and throwing words that are mean spirited or negative energy when you can truly inside say this is not about me it is as if you can let this energy go by you and continue to be center."
The motivational video I watched is called, " Change Your Life With TWO Simple Words." I loved how Lisa Nichols got straight to the point. Lisa talked about how just using I AM can change your life she stated, " Abundant thinkers understand the power of I am anything after the word I am is true to your unconscious mind." I believe this because putting it into the atmosphere and just believing it can help out with your daily life. From here on out i am going to talk more positively and say I am. I can not wait to see the change in my life.
Video # 1 Motivational Video: Change your mindset, change the game I can relate so very much to video. I often get Migraines, they are generally triggered by a stressful situation. My migraines began when I was 15 years old. I was in High School and my Mother was constantly taking me to the Emergency Room to relieve my migraine. My Doctor began to do more studies on me, performed a CT scan, and ran blood test. When everything came back normal he began to ask my Mother questions about me, if my studies were consuming me, asked if our family was going thru any difficult situations. That was the moment I found out why my migraines kept occurring. You see, during this time in my life my parents were getting a divorce. I was the youngest in my family, and my parents had been married for 25 years and the idea of divorced never entered my mind. It was all such a sudden change and it came quite shockingly. Therefore, I can completely agree with this video. I can understand how mind set matters. Thank you for introducing this video to me. It reminded me that mindset makes a huge difference.
Video 1:Change your mindset: Change the game Review: A mindset was described as "a lens or frame of mind which orients an individual to a particular set of associations and expectations." The video was quite inspirational and I thank you for informing me about it. I never knew how important our mindset was up until today, it is critical. What we believe, what we expect, what we think about what we do determines or bodies response. She spoke about how our mindset affects medicine, stress, excercise, and diet. For example stress, most people view stress as a bad thing. The study was tested on workers who heard 10% of them were going to be let go. Now 2 groups were shown 2 different videos on stress. One group watched a video on how stress is debilitating can hinder performance and diminish your ability to think clearly. While the other group was shown a video of how stress can be enhancing -can fuel peak performance and increase energy while heightening alertness. Both would affect deteriorate or enhance the following: focus, decision making, performance, and drive. This video opened my eyes to a new world, how i have control over my body, if i want to lose weight i just have to believe, if i want to be able to run a marathon all i have to do is believe. Overall this was a very inspirational video and like the title all you have to do is change your mindset and you can change the game.

I really like the way she used to describe the different ways we can use to transform our weakness and challenges. I agree with her that when I made some mistake, first I feel frustration, second I thing about the goals I would like to achieve, and third I change my mind about it and take my mistake as a new learning's experience, and finally I change my mind and I know this is another challenge I have to achieve my academics goals, and my life dreams. All of us should become a positive mindset because nothing is impossible to reach.

Video #6 Lisa Nichols - Creating your future
I agree with Lisa Nichols because God gave us a beautiful main to take good decision in life. I always believe that I have the power to build and design my future. I like to be a positive person and transmit positivism to the people around me. Even when I had a problem, I took a deep breath, and saw it as a new lesson learned. I always write my objectives and goals in a piece of paper, and when I could not did something I will writing on the next day again. I like to fight to achieve my goals. I had in mind my mother's words "you have the power of design your future." My mom is the must important influence I have in life. She taught me to be confident, never give up, and fight for everything I can achieve.
I am a photographer at Universal Studios. My job is to stop people and ask them if they would like to take a picture. I have a goal to meet everyday. It is hard to meet my goal when people are constantly saying no. It affects me by putting me in a bad mood. I can be having an amazing day, but then after a constant role of no's I start putting myself down. This video relates to me because I need to learn how not to let other peoples actions affect my mood. I need to learn that it is not my fault that people do not want to take picture.
The words "I am" can actually have a great impact in a persons life. I agree with Lisa Nichols video. I remember in high school I had to take an AP Environmental Science class, it was my very first AP class. I remember thinking it was too hard for me and that I was not going to be able to do it. My AP teacher made us say a little saying everyday before we left the class. The saying was "I am because we are". Saying it everyday helped me stay motivated and I was able to pass his class with a high grade.
This video relates to me because I am one of those students who has trouble staying on budget. I create a reasonable budget for my self every month, but its hard to just keep it. I am the type of person who has to buy something wherever I go. If I know I have my credit card in my pocket I will have the temptation to buy something, even the smallest thing. I sometimes leave my card at home and take $10 cash with me. That helps me spend less money.
1st Video: “How To Start Your Day…” I really enjoyed this video because it opened my eyes to many things. First of all, for me it's the complete opposite when it comes to the statement she said about finding it hard to stay asleep in the morning. I know that when I wake up in the morning, I have a hard time getting up. Listening to her talk about why she loves walking up to another day was inspiring. I never thought about how amazing it is and the opportunity I have to be waking up in the morning. Like she said, I need to be grateful I am alive and well and survived another day. I just really enjoyed this video and learned from it.
2nd Video: “FYE Personal Budgeting” I related to this video because like any other college student, I have trouble financing my money. I always tell myself that I will start to budget my money and only waste it on the necessities, but I never do. The statement in the video that I agreed most with, which was focus on the things you need, will probably be the most helpful for me because it allowed me to think about what I am going to spend my money on. I learned that I should make a budget that will allow me to spend on my necessities and also a few extra dollars for spending. This video helped me learn how I will manage my money in the future.
3rd Video: “10 Effective Time Management Tips” I wanted to watch this video because I know I needed it to manage my time correctly. All throughout my life I have always had terrible time management skills. I leave everything to the last moment and this prevents me from trying my best. This video showed me how to manage my time correctly and efficiently. For example the video showed me to make a to do list, which surprisingly isn't something I do. By learning this technique I can now manage my time better. The video overall just helped me learn how to spend my time and how to spend it wisely.
Espericueta Abigail November 14, 2017 English 103, Section 25204 Motivational Video Les Brown has a good point of view its time stop looking for who to blame for what already happen. It’s time to forgive and forget and move forward. A few years back I faced a crucial financial crisis to the point where I didn’t have a place to live. The people I once thought I could count on gave me the cold shoulder. The recent for those individuals grew by the day and I could do was pray for god to help me out. With only the clothes in back and with an estimate of $150 dollars in my pocket I struggle for about a week. By the grace of god I got hired at a fast phase restaurant where I would earn the minimum wage and found a place to stay. As I started to get back on my feet my so call “friends” started to look for me and wanted to hang out. It was not until a few years back that I finally was able to let go of all the resentment I had towards them. And like Les Brown said I surrounded myself with good and positive people that help me become the person I am today. Every time I set money to the side something seems to happen I either spend it on things I really do not need or an unexpected emergency comes along. This video has helped me realize that once I set my budget I should stick to it no matter what. (even if that means putting back an item or two that I really do not need). I am open to this challenge and starting on Monday which is my payday I will set a budget for the week. Wish me luck and I hope I can stick to this new journey!

Many times I want to say things because I warn to.I end up staying quiet because I consider the other person, but that just ends up making me feel mad. Don Miguel Ruiz makes very good points in this video about being ourselves. This is the only way we will be happy and at the same time make others happy. I learned that if start doing things because I want to it will only help me bring out my best to be able to help others. Analyzing it makes me see that it is very true that when I do things that I want I am happy. my happiness encourages those around me and I end up inspiring them as well. The best version of me is being who I really am at all times. I have been working too hard trying to be who I am not for too long.It is time to work on my happiness because pleasing everyone else drains me.

I am a huge believer of affirmations.I always say things that I want as if I am already living them and it always works.I have faith that if I declare something it will happen. Two years ago I was in need of a car I was in the bus for almost a year. The goal was to save money and be able to purchase my next car cash and not have a to pay a car note. As soon as I had the money I grabbed a notebook an wrote exactly the type of car I saw my self in. I prayed to god to give me what I deserved a Toyota Corolla with less tha 100.000 miles. I even said the color and of the outside and interior that I wanted it in I could already picture my self driving it. Everyday until I found it I would affirm it over and over. Expecting it but not really expecting it I saw it on Craig's list exactly how I wanted it and more. I called the seller made an appointment and bought it. I am grateful and happy to have my car which has not broke down once in two and a half years now. Affirmations work if you believe them and why wouldn't we deserve them.
Ocegueda-Ruiz Miguel Angel English 20A Sec. 24969 Video assignment Change your Mindset, change the Game After watching the video about changing the mindset, I can say that this relates to me in a major way. Years ago, I was depressed, suffering from anxiety, and just down on my luck. I did not think of life as a beautiful experience but as a harsh reality. I was negative about everything in my life. I did not see any positive outcome to anything I did. I was living a miserable life. I could not get ahead on any on my plans and I did not like my life one bit. My friends tried to give me positive advice, but I did not listen to any of them. I felt doomed and desperate for a way out. One day, I was watching a program that talked about a positive mindset that caught my attention. After I finished watching the video, I started to use the tips given on the video, and I saw a change that would forever change my life. First, I started to think positive in my daily life. I struggled at first waiting for results, but then it happened. I got my positive results after I was giving a job after I thought about it for a month. I just kept it in my mind that I was going to be offered a job and it happened. From that point forward, I changed my mindset to be positive and the outcome has been better than I ever thought. I have been using this type of mindset in everything I do. When there are negative outcomes, I do not get stressed, instead I look for a positive way out of the situation no matter what. Today, I have a mindset that can move mountains and I know that it will help me in any part of my life. My stress is still there but is now more manageable and I use it to better my self either in school or at work. I would have never thought that by just changing your mindset, you can change your life so much in a positive way.

I love this video. After I watched this video, I realized how important to have a self confidence within me. When I compare Liza Nicholas’s story to my personal life experience, I think I have been in that situation long time ago. I remember at that time I did not knew what to do. I did not knew where to think or what path is to take. All want to do was to sit somewhere without doing anything. With the help of my family and my friends I did passed my difficult time. This video actually opened my eyes to see what kind of solution should take if we are in depression. The solution is to build up the trust in yourself and be me. Most important part was not to let yourself down.Think who I am, and what you are capable of doing. Look at yourself as a challenger. Take the challenge. Think positive about you. Believe in me that I can do it. This video motivated me to be a positive thinker when ever I meet a new challenge.

Ocegueda-Ruiz Miguel Angel English 20A Sec. 24969 Motivational Videos Time Management for Students Time management in my opinion is one of the most important aspects for students. I for one can say that I have learned to manage my time efficiently. I take time to work on school assignments at work when there are slow periods. I have been able to finish most of my school assignments at work without affecting my job performance. I study at home and take time to attend to my family even when working on school assignments. I have learned to work on the hardest and most time-consuming assignments first, then take time off to finish the easiest work that I have. This technique has allowed me to have more time for myself and my family. I used to struggle and get stressed about my school work, my job and my personal life because I did not know how to manage all of it together. Since I watched the motivational videos on time management, it helped me to come up with a way to avoid wasting time. The video was well made, and it allowed me to set up my time management better than I had it before. It gave me tips and solutions on how to allow time for work and family time along with solutions on how to set up free time for myself. It was hard for me at first to have any free time because I was lost on how to manage all my school work and my job duties. Now, I am better prepared, and I have enough time to study and be with my family. With the motivational video on time management, I can have a relaxed personal and educational life. I am thankful that I found this video and that I was able to put the advice it into practice.

I like all Lisa Nicholas motivation videos. I like this video because it explained how to build your future without worrying about the past. Sometimes it is so hard to forget the past. We think it is connected to our future. Sometimes we feel not to take any decisions, because we think something might happen the same way it happened in the past. Sometimes we worry about the past what we did, the foolish decisions that we took. We wish if we knew how to do it we would have done it better. I think we worry about things that happened in past. In her video she stated that whatever happened is happened. It happens for a reason. Also she stated that there are two common mistake what we do. The first one is that we try to change the past. Second one is we cut and paste our stories one to each other stories. Her advice was to write your story with a good beginning. Think new do not connect the other other chapters. Create your future with a new chapter.

He give us a good explanation about it and how we should develop our skills to perform our talent. Hard working is his motto. He believe in that . That is his key to his success. He mentioned that talent is going to fail if you are not skilled. 1. Marcus Aurelius, The Meditation
Listening to the words of Marcus Aurelius, The Mediations for self-discipline was eye opening. I enjoyed listening to the advice he provided. He mentioned if you have a purpose to just go for it and not make excuses. I completely agree. If you have a reason, he said to just go for it and should give you the drive to achieve it. He states to keep your mind set and be fully committed. Forming a plan of action in order to work towards what you wish to accomplish sounds like an effective way. I will use his advice to further my career and achieve my set goal even if it takes a bit long.
2. Emily Esfahani Smith
Her research on happiness was so informative. She found how chasing happiness can end up to unhappiness. She mentions how seeking meaning is a more fulfilling in life. People can live a much better life. The four pillars that she believes can lead to meaning to life seem relatable. Those are belonging, purpose, transcendent and storytelling. Finding a purpose has not been hard for me being a mother. My kids drive me to achieve more, and I know I will achieve my set goal for them. I know through my journey I will grow stronger, and my story will be better. I will have a great career and be a better role model for my children.
3. Don Miguel Ruiz
Don Miguel Ruiz speaks on the fifth agreement. Don Miguel Ruiz speaks his knowledge on life. He states to enjoy life and you will achieve great things. He mentions that anything is possible and if we enjoy something we can achieve it. I agree and it eased me. Every day I think of school and hope to only get good grades in order to get to where I need to go. My set goal is the only thing I wish to achieve right now in life outside from being a great mom and wife. There are days where I feel a bit off but I have so support from my husband, family and friends. Their positive words encourage me to strive. Mr. Ruiz says anything is possible and I know what I want to become will be possible.
It's so inspiring that you do so much yet took time out to view the videos that share ideas I wish we could spend more time on in class. I hope that you can take these ideas with you and be a positive influence on the people around you. I wish you well.

Marcus Aurelius has a good heart, When he received the thrown he refused to take office unless Lucius received equal powersMarcus Aurelius tells us to find your purpose.Count on yourself to get motivated. The power of having a purpose and having a passion. Most of us have wander all around the world now knowing what we want in life. Its not negative to be disciplined but wise and loving. I completely agree with all this. It will help us in the future.
Don Miguel Ruiz Don Miguel Ruiz are be impeccable with your words, Don't take anything personally, Don't make assumptions, always do your best. "you're the only one who can change the story of your life. I really like how he says that the power to choose. He reminds me that each of everyone of us relates our own reality of our own stories.
!. Marcus Aurelius has such great insight and He has a method to help everyone have a better life experience. Aurelius's 7th and 8th lessons are great. In number 7 he spoke on delayed gratification, which is the ability to wait to get what you want. Also that we should put off what we want, so that we can get something better. Aurelius's 8th lesson say's that we should ignore naysayers, and in our minds we can go to their souls and penetrate what's inside. We should realise that there's no need to be allowing ourselves to be upset by the opinion of someone we don't respect. He also has several suggestions on how we should organize our days. A few examples are, where were my discipline and self control tested today, how can I do better, and how can I do better?
2. Estephanismith say's that chasing happiness can make people unhappy. She said that despair is the lack of having a meaning in life. Happiness is comfort and ease (the feeling is good in that moment.) Purpose is using your abilities to save the moment others. She also has 4 pillars of meanings. Belonging, purpose, transference, and storytelling. She say's that having meaning gives you something to hold on to." I am quite fond of her studies. It is very good information. I think that many will be privileged to hear her message. The purpose is a great description of what we are here for. I believe that there are many who do not know why they are here on the planet, and what should they do? So, her entire theory on life is quite accurate. The thought that having despair comes from a lack of meaning in life may also be accurate. Not having a meaning in lif is destructive. Life is great.
3. In this study on provocative enlightenment we can unlock the power of our minds. I am shocked to say that I may agree with the author. Don Miguel Ruiz is quite amazing in his knowledge. He understands what many centenarians don't. He say's that we should be impeccable with our words, don't take anything personally, and we always do your best. Moreover, Ruiz said, " we're going to live through our children and great grandchildren." That is an amazing thought. By these guidelines we are sure to feel enlightened and powerful. There is not a better feeling than being in control of your life. " Everything is possible, said Ruiz."

Something that I do need to work on now is trying to control things that I can not control. I tend to be easily angered when things do not happen in the way I would like them too. I need to train myself to not be easily angered and not play the victim and blame others. Cook, Lauwren English 101, Section 20052 06/01/21 After watching “ How to Build Self-discipline” inspired by philosopher Marcus Aurelius, I have discovered ten practical guidelines to implement when identifying and achieving our purpose. Our purpose can be identified as our calling, our “ what” in life. Purpose is described as the force that gets you out of bed daily. Motivation is described as the “ what” and is only effective when we feel like it. Inspiration is described as the “why”, the reason we feel like it. Discipline is the “how” of our purpose and is that is what carries an individual through even when we don’t feel like it. Self- discipline is the ability to set yourself up to act. One of the key points that stuck out to me was showing up every day, as consistency enables endurance. Another valuable piece of information useful to exercising discipline is ignoring naysayers. Despite the love and relation, it is our duty to be honest with ourselves and go to the core of that person and figure out who they are and what their motives are. This allows us to filter out negativity and keep our peace of mind. Lastly, it is advised to honestly review our day and scrutinize ourselves, identifying weak spots and forgive our mistakes. Scrutiny does not mean be hard on ourselves, yet exercising self-compassion to achieve ultimate self- awareness.
Cook, Lauwren English 101, section 20052 06/01/21 After watching “ Developing a Growth Mindset” lectured by Carol Dweck, this video provided clarity on the eliminating the “ winners versus losers” mentality. The speaker describes how a challenge only means we as individuals can use this opportunity to grow our abilities. Those that don’t possess the ability to be challenged become a tyranny of yet instead of being motivated by the power of yet. I appreciate her insight into rewarding oneself throughout the challenge. Rewarding the progress and learning curve encourages resilience, perseverance, and confidence. She expresses difficulty only means “ not yet” instead of impossible or resorting to negative self-talk.
Cook, Lauwren English 101, section 20052 06/01/2021 Upon watching Daniel Goleman’s interview on Emotional and Social intelligence, this information can be useful to how we self- regulate and effectively communicate with those in public and in leadership positions. Emotional intelligence refers to how we manage our emotions. He describes how negative emotions and thinking hinder our creativity and ability to function coherently. Social intelligence is our ability to read people, know what their thinking as accurately as possible, and using that to be able to communicate effectively. Two vital keys to understanding whether we are effective socially are asking ourselves do we truly care and then getting honest feedback to assess our progress and effectiveness in reaching a certain group of people. Human resources encourage developing such skills to promote those individuals into leadership positions and expanded those qualities throughout the workforce and communities. We are responsible for ensuring we can make an individual comfortable, be a keen listener, display empathy, and answer questions thoroughly to build chemistry.

I told myself I was going to go to college and graduate before I turned 21. But look at me now I am 29 years old and still in community college. I failed plenty of classes, I also took breaks. The motivational video with "Denzel Washington" was very inspiring it made me think back on the journey I've been on and where I am today. This video alone spoke to me vividly, it made me feel as though all the choices I made leading up to this point was so that I could grow. I've failed so many times and I got back up, I hit my head so many times and got back up. So many women that I've come across that I knew, a nice amount of them were not able to get back up. The speech made me feel like all the times I failed and bounced back that it was worth it, everything was worth it because I would'nt be where I was today. Also, this video motivated me more to not feel bad when I do go through turning points when i do have to look at myself and learn from things ive failed at to not give up and i am hard on myself so just listening to his words made me want to keep "Falling Forward" my mindset to succeed is great, ambition great as well ,but watching him speak and actually taking it in made me feel my mindset will be better as I keep "Falling Forward" in school, life goals, and dealing with everyday to day trials and errors.
After listening to Denzel Washington’s “Fall Forward” I learned that sometimes in life you can fail. This does not mean to give up on chasing your dreams, or to lose motivation to do things. The speech made me realize sometimes people lose hope and no one is there to help them. A lot of people give up on the goals they have set for themselves and no longer strive to accomplish it. But if they just keep going they can get passed many obstacles. My opinion on this video is that the video really does motivate you to keep going and stay on task.

"How Bad Do You Want It"
Wow! that's the first thing that came in my mind when watching the video. "Will Smith" said a couple of things that really struck a nerve for me. The first was "One brick at a time" it spoke to me because it's so true for me and where I am now. When I was young I did not understand what slowing down meant. Everything that I did when i was young I could of waited and of course I had to learn the hard way. Slowing down taking it one day at a time, one project at a time, and not rushing life is how I was supposed to get through life. Not realizing I will have time to do everything once I was older and if I had started young I would of been where I have wanted already. I'm just honestly happy That I woke up in the time that I did and not at a later date. Just imagine how many people who still don't get it, I was thinking of sending this video to a few people who I feel needed to hear these words. To hear the inspiration that it's okay to take it one day at a time, it's okay to dream, it's okay to have so many things you want to do but to just take it one day at a time. Another thing that stuck out was "Believe" when you believe in yourself it means everything and Will really hit it on the nail when talking about believing. It's okay to believe in others and people but believing in yourself is where it all starts.
After viewing Sport psychology - inside the mind of champion athletes I understood many things. The athletes would lose but still keep confidence and end up becoming champions of the world. Usain bolt would come to lose but then win in the most important times. I felt this related to me in a way because I had many times where I would feel like giving up but I would keep my confidence up and continue. That’s how I felt after having two losing seasons in high school and then winning a championship at the end of it. You just can’t give up and I felt this video explained it in a good way.
11/29/2021 heard “There's more to life than being happy | Emily Esfahani Smith” and was shocked. I didn’t know meaning came from having something beyond ourselves. Seeking meaning is incredible and did not know you can live longer. I feel like i do meaningful things for myself like accomplishing school and trying to play football over and over those things are pillars to my life. Listening to Emily made me think how can we really fulfill our souls and not feel so empty so we can prevent suicides and make people in the world feel better. We must make change for the better of ourselves and future generation, we cant reject people and not acknowledge them.
I have seen this Denzel Washington speech multiple times, and I believe in the way he motivates people.
I have played this award giving speech as a presentation in a program I just graduated from. Denzel Washington mentioned a lot of famous people, using descriptive details it makes it easy for most to appreciate. The wold has fell In love with everyone of his movie role’s. In the video “How to Master the Art Of Time Management “ I learned quite some new things. I learned how to tackle big assignments and learn how to not stress about it so much. I can even consider myself as a successful person. I say this because I have learned how to become a good time manager. “The key to Time Management is self-discipline” according to Brian Tracy. You must figure out some goals you might want to accomplish within 5 years from now. Brian Tracy states “they can be anything such as family or personal goals.” You must also complete some self-development goals. “Just making a list before you perform a task can improve your productivity”. I usually make a to-do list before I perform any task because it feels good finishing each individual task. This made me develop a sense of happiness. Happiness felt like such a progressive realization of a worthy idea. Brian Tracy also stated that “learning to concentrate can help you succeed.” I highly agree with this because I’ve experienced it once doing some of my classwork. Lastly, I have even told myself to reward myself if I get done before the deadline. Time- management is very important in everyday life.
Kelly Valencia 10/13/22 English - 16548 In the video Brian states " the key to success is self discipline " This relates to me because if I didn't push myself to where I am at, i believe I would be doing what I am doing. Another thing Brian stated was to become someone successful you need to have a plan. If you don't have a plan it's more likely it will lead you to failure. I find this to be true because if I didn't plan out my future before it was too late I might have fallen into something that would benefit me. Another thing I can 100% agree with is to be a successful person you need to be an intelligent person as long as you have a plan and goal for what you want your are more likely to achieve it.

As he used the cliché “Birds of a feather, flock together” reminds me of my past life. I can relate due to my bad experience hanging with the wrong that ended up having me go through bad times. I hung out with people that were not doing good which put me in the situation where I started to do bad. The information he gives on that the past does not reflect the future amazes me, because it really motivates me on becoming a better person. Reflecting on me that now I have outcome the fact to hang with people that are going to get me somewhere, and have goals that’s planning on taking me somewhere.

This reflects my life a lot, because I have a hard time trying to budget my money.

The tips are so important, and the video does motivates me to work on my time management. I do put my priorities first with school, and studying, but work sometimes get in the way for me because I would not get so much which made me fall off on school. I personally enjoyed watching the motivational video by Les Brown.

The most important thing we should carry with us is self-confidence. "Repeating", like the
speaker said, is the best way to build self-confidence because the situations are not new to us anymore, and the more we are repetitive, the more confidence we gain.

Creating a vision statement is very important because in order to set goals we must envision what we want our lives to be like in the future.

Les Brown: It's Possible

Growing up I constantly heard what Les Brown mentioned in his video as in "Birds of a feather flock together".

Les Brown You Have To Be Hungry
While viewing Les Brown You Have To Be Hungry motivational speech.
It really took me to a mindset of wanting to change my life. It’s always good to hear
encouraging words . Sometimes you can be going threw a rough time in your life .
And someone can speak on it, by saying something that can encourage you to do
better , our do something about it.
There were a lot of yes moments that I had while watching Les speak .
There where things that stood out to me the most I can relate to . How he spoke
about being scared of change , and how it could block your true self. Taking
time to reflect on your life . By figuring out your purpose. He also spoke on
stop worrying about the past. What will it take to fix it.
I can relate in so many ways . I was always complaining on how, and why I
was stuck at the same job for the last six years. I could never progress stayed at the
same position I started with . While the company had a wide range for advancements .
I was resisting change and scared of change. I was not hungry enough as Les Brown
would say . I had to stand up for myself , and talk to myself. There was going to be
a change . I knew that it was not going to be easy to just up and quit my job , and
go back to school full time . But I did I had enough of the same way of living , day to
day at my job . Watching others advance and I wasn’t . I took a stand for myself .
It is hard not working right now . But my heart is much better, not feeling
worthless anymore . I am on the road to a better life for me and my children. Les
Brown really encourage me , and inspired me to want more ,and do more for myself.

Les Brown Negative People
I Agree with Les Brown when he spoke on negative people. On How you should not waste time on toxic, negative , energy draining people. He says that they can steal your dreams. I say they can steal your joy. From my own life experience. When it comes to a negative person , who's always complaining about everything . It does become draining.Every time you have something positive to say they have something negative to say .I call those people
Out .

I watched the video titled, ‘mindset wisdom ‘ by Will Smith.

Motivational Video: Change your mindset, change the game
I can relate so very much to video.

Video 1:Change your mindset: Change the game
Review: A mindset was described as "a lens or frame of mind which orients an individual to a particular set of associations and expectations." The video was quite inspirational and I thank you for informing me about it.

1st Video: “How To Start Your Day…”
I really enjoyed this video because it opened my eyes to many things.
2nd Video: “FYE Personal Budgeting”
I related to this video because like any other college student, I have trouble financing my money.
3rd Video: “10 Effective Time Management Tips”
I wanted to watch this video because I know I needed it to manage my time correctly.

Les Brown has a good point of view its time stop looking for who to blame for what already happen. It is in moments like those were you can determine who is really a friend and who is not. Life is short, lets enjoy it as if it was our last day to live, as tomorrow is not promise.

Personal Budgeting
My biggest issue this year has been trying to budget and save as much money as possible.

Change your life with 2 simple words

Change your Mindset, change the Game
After watching the video about changing the mindset, I can say that this relates to me in a major way.

Motivation Video- Change your life with two simple words by Lisa Nicholas

How to Write a Vision Statement
After watching the video on how to write a vision statement, I can say that the author is knowledgeable about her tutorial. I like the way she expresses herself and the way she gives easy to understand tips. The author gives ample examples on how to write a vision statement and makes it simple and understandable for all students. I was able to follow her guide and created my vision statement by utilizing her tips. It became simple enough for me to write my vision statement after watching her video because she gives great advice on how to do it. At first, I did not know where to begin about writing my vision statement. I was completely lost about that assignment and did not know how to set it up. I was instructed by my English professor to watch motivational videos that she had set up on canvas and I came across this tutorial. I was amazed how easy it became to set up and write the vision statement afterwards. I was thankful that the professor had these videos set up on canvas to help us. I have now watched more than ten videos since then.

Time Management for Students
Time management in my opinion is one of the
most important aspects for students. I for one can
say that I have learned to manage my time efficiently.

Motivation Video- Creating your life by Lisa Nicholas

Motivation Video- Mindset wisdom by Will Smith
This video is so inspiring because it motivates me to believe in what I am doing. His life story of success is that he know what he is doing and he know how to do it. One of his interviews he said that if we know who I am, and what I believe that's all what we need. Also he talked about our talent and skills. He give us a good explanation about it and how we should develop our skills to perform our talent. Hard working is his motto. He believe in that . That is his key to his success. He mentioned that talent is going to fail if you are not skilled. This video motivated me to be focussed on my future what is my goal, it gives me strength, and courage to face all the challenges in the future.

Thank you. I'm glad you found value in the videos

Watching this video was inspiring. Self discipline is a difficult skill that not many of us know how to conquer but watching this video gave me really good tips and ideas on how to work on my own self discipline. I really enjoyed watching this video. It was very motivational and I learned about how purposely putting yourself in uncomfortable situations can be good for disciplinary growth. Another thing I took from this video was Marcus’ advice on practicing dichotomy. Having a realization that you only have power over your own mind - not outside events is a powerful tool that I will be keeping in mind every time something feels like it is out of my control.
I'm pleased that you found value in the video. Best wishes to you in the future.

Watching the above video allowed me to think back on my past decisions that I have made growing up. Even now, when I graduated high school it was just a make my parents happy sort of thing because I had no motivation to actually become something. Before maturing, I would let my failures define who I was rather than trying harder to do better. I now know the importance of testing myself so that my mindset can be more wiser than before. Something that I do need to work on now is trying to control things that I can not control. I tend to be easily angered when things do not happen in the way I would like them too. I need to train myself to not be easily angered and not play the victim and blame others. I need to develop a reliable role model that will allow me to be motivated to achieve my journey to become a better person.
Thank you for your response. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Watching this video helped with accountability. Taking ownership and going for things. Having power within yourself and being your own motivation is important! It was a great video to watch and help with pushing myself and making the correct steps to change. Self discipline is important especially when it could be needed in a career or even everyday life.
* I could agree that finding a purpose is important and not doing things for the wrong reasons. That happiness can be temporary but finding a purpose can bring happiness as well as a memory that will last forever. That's the feelings that I'm getting in school , with returning I Finally found a place of comfort where I feel like school has a purpose in my life.
*Taking things day by day and moment by moment is super Important when speaking on growth. Doing things for yourself that will make you be comfortable as well as choosing your own destiny can be life changing, I agree with the message as well as taking the message to apply to my own personal life. Being who you are and controlling who you are and can be is a great lesson to learn.

After watching “ How to Build Self-discipline” inspired by philosopher Marcus Aurelius, I have discovered ten practical guidelines to implement when identifying and achieving our purpose.

After watching “ Developing a Growth Mindset” lectured by Carol Dweck, this video provided clarity on the eliminating the “ winners versus losers” mentality.

Upon watching Daniel Goleman’s interview on Emotional and Social intelligence, this information can be useful to how we self- regulate and effectively communicate with those in public and in leadership positions.

After watching, "Fall Forward", the motivational speech delivered by none other than the Denzel Washington himself, I can't help but agree with his idea of persistence leading to success. In the speech Washington speaks of how he was getting his start in the acting world and
"fell" and didn't get the role but instead of giving up on his dream of becoming an actor and falling back he fell forward into his next audition and when that didn't work out, on to the next eventually landing him his break out role that would eventually lead to his goal of success in the acting industry. I feel if we keep striving to do better against the odd's than you'll eventually end up right where you want to be even though it may not be where you expected.

After watching and listening to Emily Esfahani-Smith, I found it surprising to hear that chasing happiness is actually what causes un-happiness and it's in fact meaningfulness that gives you the satisfaction that leads to over all happiness. I also feel that she gives very good advice to interpersonal relationships in regards to the attention we give each other when interacting. While watching I found that Emily is also insightful when it comes to transcending mind from beyond where you're at in life. After I watched the motivational video “Fall Forward” by Denzel Washington, I felt like it motivated me to keep trying because I must fall and fall again to succeed. It does not matter if you think you are excellent at it, it does not mean you will always succeed. Growing up I always heard I was smart, and I took advanced classes. I told myself I was going to go to college and graduate before I turned 21. But look at me now I am 29 years old and still in community college. I failed plenty of classes, I also took breaks. Do not mean I will not succeed it just means I have to fail to succeed.

After listening to the video “Keeping you doing Things” it motivated me to think better not just things. Not to just have children by anyone or be with just anyone. There is a lot of man in this world that will make sure their girlfriend is dressed all fly before they make sure their child is neat. relates to me because my daughter’s father will make sure his girlfriend comes before our daughter. I am a single parent and I’m blessed to have my child. But I learned how to make better choices in the present in the future. I will not settle for what a man is on the outside but we he is on the inside. I will not show them the negativity what they want, I will do better and get out of the hood.

You just can’t give up and I felt this video explained it in a good way.

heard “There's more to life than being happy | Emily Esfahani Smith” and was shocked.

I look up to entertainers like Denzel Washington, I believe in his methods of giving back to the young and educated people.

In the video Brian states " the key to success is self discipline " This relates to me because if I didn't push myself to where I am at, i believe I would be doing what I am doing.
