The social climate in the US is scorching. People are rightfully passionate, and even angry. Some of us have taken to the streets, while others are putting their minds together on social media and in meeting rooms to strategize the next steps in the struggle. The important discussion to have with ourselves and with each other is, if what is happening in our society is what I do not want, then what do I want to see in its place?
We get so caught up reacting to what it is that we do not want, that we give little or no energy to thinking about what it is we really want to experience. If we do not do the work of planning to successfully change injustice with what we need, then we should expect very little to no change. Besides, investing precious energy and time in solutions is much more productive than complaining or becoming a victim.
Can we allow ourselves to see the reality we want and free ourselves from the paralyzing images played out on the television? Some people find it difficult to entertain the thoughts and mental images they truly desire; they even resist. We are so comfortable saying what we do not want or do not like, but sometimes articulating what we want or receiving what we want can be challenging. When we see situations that we do not like or experience feelings that make us feel uncomfortable, our first reaction has to be to immediately hold the image in our minds of what it is we want.
The vision I have is:
- a world where ALL people are treated with respect and dignity
- a world where EVERY child grows up feeling loved and protected
- a world where women and elders are valued
- a world where the greatest conflict we witness are people’s personal struggles to free themselves of mental and spiritual bondage
I don’t want to use the word daydream, but I encourage the imagining and the visioning that allows our minds to create what may not be in front of us. We cannot afford to remain locked in the nightmare created by megalomaniacs who program us through broadcast television and cable/satellite shows. The world’s greatest natural resource is our minds. No one person can lead us to the promised land. We individually and collectively have to have a vision that begins when we hold the thought and image in our minds.
I believe in you. I believe in the infinite potential of the majority of people in this world who desire peace.
This is motivational and inspiring Niki B this passage is personally touching every aspect in my life.....Talk about Battlefield Of The Mind #Powerful
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you enjoyed it...I keep writing to inspire myself on the days I don't feel excited...:-)
ReplyDeleteNiki B...This is exactly what we need. Renewing of the mind, and this transitional period is the appointed time for it. Collectively we (all) will have to grasp hold of it moving forward, but recognizing it is what seems to be our biggest obstacle. Right now today, I myself nor my children watch television because of the master manipulation it has brought upon us, and also, getting the word to the communities that lack thereof will push us forward a few years at least. I just wish that more of our black leaders and upcoming leaders would recognize that they are (still in this day and age) being bought into slavery. So protesting and standing for something and falling for nothing is the solution in my mind...Although equality, justice, and peace for everyone is ultimately our goal; it's the black race who has suffered most and the longest. Good article! This is a subject that I am very passionate about so you hit the nail on the head with this one...I could go on and on. Solution: God, unity, and action. You can't go wrong. Thank you, you're a great writer!

I watched the video titled, ‘mindset wisdom ‘ by Will Smith. He talked about loving yourself, which is something you cannot fake. Believing in yourself and knowing who you are, will take you to where you want to be in life. He further said there is no shortcut to success. You could be talented, either through natural or skill which can only be developed by putting hours of practice to perfect your craft for success. He also said that doing the same thing every single day until you get better at it and believing in yourself will help you to succeed. The only way to success is to be focus and eliminate every unrealistic fear, with the believe that you can do it.

The motivation video titled, “Dream’’ is an uplifting message that gets you going every day. It emphasized on the fact that knowing that the dream you aspire in your mind is possible, if you are determined and hard working. He made mention that as we work toward our goals and dreams; we will encounter some obstacle, disappointment, pain and even hardship just to make it to where we want to be in life. One thing I definitely learned for the video is that we need to stop complaining about our situation, but do something to make it better. Pain problem and hardship will come but it will definitely pass away and not giving up on the big dream is the only thing that can keep you going in life.

The 100,000 hours rule by Malcolm Gladwell is an important fact that we all have to have to follow and pay attention to before trying to make an instant success. He stated that it takes 100,000 hours or at least 10 years to make it life to where you want to make it in life. Some people are expected to perform at work and in their personal life, in a very short drop of time before reaching this hours or years. This he said was achievable through consistence practice and hard work and it does not take people to be a genius to be successful.

“Investing precious energy and time in solutions is much more productive than complaining or becoming a victim.”
This relates to my life because I tend to complain about things instead of finding ways on how to change them. I play the role of a victim and I have to stop that. I want to change many things in this world and I believe that the first step is changing me. I want to live in a world of equality where every child and adult feel loved and I must start with myself and my child. I want to live in a world where we are all valued and I must start by valuing myself and the people that are surrounded by me. the only way to do all of this is actually speaking the law if attraction.

Peace of mind is a state of mental and emotional calmness, with no worries, fears or stress. In this state, the mind is quiet, and you experience a sense of happiness and freedom. Such peaceful moments are not so rare. I have experienced them in the past, at times when I was engaged in some kind of an absorbing or interesting activity. I ask whether it is possible to turn it into a habit and enjoy it always and under all circumstances. To answer my own question, actually there are a few things I can do to enjoy more peace in my life.
